The Porsche 997 / 987 Arid Key is designed to re-house the original components of your Porsche 911, Cayman or Boxster key. Transforming the dated design into a highly refined piece of precision engineering.
The design has been sculpted to mirror features present within the 997/987 Porsche era. Updating the currently dated aesthetics of the original key, whilst retaining signs of Porsche heritage within the design.
By simply transferring your existing key blade, circuit board and transponder chip, you can upgrade to this bespoke design. No reprogramming or professional key cutting is necessary, it is a direct swap of your original Porsche key internal components and a process that can be completed at home. This process requires basic tools and takes less than 15 minutes. On some early models of the 997 and 987 the removal of the transponder takes up the bulk of the install as it’ll need to be cut from your existing key housing, this step does not apply to later models. An instructional video will be provided with the Arid key to walk you through the process. Alternatively any local automotive locksmith or technician should be able to help.
