The Porsche 996 / 986 Arid Key is a bespoke key body, designed to re-house the original components of your Porsche 911 or Boxster key. Transforming the dated design into a highly refined piece of precision engineering.

The form has been sculpted to mirror the iconic lines featured in the 996/986 Porsche era. Updating the currently tired aesthetics of the original key, whilst retaining some signs of Porsche heritage within the design.

Each key is meticulously CNC machined from high-grade stainless steel, ensuring not only a stunning appearance but also unparalleled durability. The result, a key piece that exudes quality and precision in every detail.

To upgrade to this bespoke body, your existing key blade, circuit board and transponder chip will need to be transplanted into the Arid key. No reprogramming or professional key cutting is necessary, it is a direct swap of your original Porsche key internal components and a process that can be completed at home. This process requires no tools (other than the Allen key provided) and takes less than 5 minutes.

Nicely done

Streets ahead of the OEM key, a very high quality piece. id even go as far to say its the nicest looking and highest quality car key I've ever seen.

A real talking point.

Stunning key, the polish on the metal is truly Swiss watch grade. Plastics are more of a textured finish, I presume to hide wear etc. No reduction in range from my experience and install was easy as can be.

Would be nice if the plastics could be changed for leather? Even so, as is it’s a beautiful key, worlds apart from the original.

Having had it a week now everyone I’ve shown it to has complimented it / asked where I got it from.

Decent product with improvements opportunities (996)

Similar feedback to what others have written, the metallic part is really nicely done and premium, but the plastic parts are the issue. The plastic is not really neat and looks a bit rough. I am also having challenges with the range now; this is a common issue with 996s but the design of the key reduces the signal further. Also concerned by the fact that the buttons are not waterproof. Overall, a decent product with some opportunities for improvements; hope that future developments can close those gaps!

Love it

Bridges the gap between luxury watches and cars (two of my passions). The key is beautifully machined and easy to install, much less than the quoted 5 minutes. Clearly a very well thought out product.

Much better quality and feel compared to the original

I pre-ordered back in November and received last week. Installation was very easy and if I wanted to, I can reverse and put back to my original key fob (although I won't be doing that). The weight and feel of the new key fob is great and it is such a huge improvement over the original. May be tempted to get a second for the spare key but for now happy with what I have. I have only given it 4 stars instead of the 5 as although the metal finish on the key is perfect, the plastic part of the fob is not as crisp, clear and and as smooth as that pictured. Especially for the locking symbol and the bonnet opening button, it's a bit lower quality than what is shown. Overall though, I am extremely pleased and happy with the product.
